You can’t walk past the Canada Pavilion without the glorious smell of maple popcorn. It is hard to think of Canadian culture without thinking of maple syrup! So of course for our holidays in Canada tea, we just had to incorporate some of this sweet syrup of our northern neighbor’s palate.
To represent our Christmas in Canada tea, we chose the very popular butter tart. While these traditionally do not have maple syrup in them, we added some in for a little extra sweetness. These tarts are a small pastry with a simple sugar and butter filling that also sometimes have nuts and raisins added. Our tea version has a rich buttery taste with a hint of almond, maple syrup, and golden raisins.
On the label, you will find popular Canadian baked treats such as mincemeat pies, maple leaf & moose shortbread cookies, nanaimo bars, sugar pies, and Saskatoon berry pie slices.
